Jennifer Leichtman, MS, OTR/L has experience working with infants/children (ages 0+) providing Occupational Therapy services for sensory, motor, social, and emotional related concerns. Occupational Therapy is designed to promote healthy childhood development through assisting with and strengthening individual and environmental supports/services.

Jennifer currently provides OT services for youth (ages 3+) working on goals related to social functioning, emotion regulation, learning/executive functioning, sensory integration, gross and fine motor skills/planning, and routines or activities of daily living.

She also specializes in providing Feeding/Eating Therapy for picky eaters or youth with ARFID utilizing the SOS Approach to Feeding. While we always guide you to regularly check with your child’s pediatrician for medical advice and recommendations, the following resources can help caregivers differentiate typical eating patterns in early childhood from picky eating or medical concerns such as ARFID:

Does My Child Have a Problem? - SOS

When to Be Concerned - Very Well Health

When Do Picky Eaters Need Help - Child Mind

We believe that consistent and collaborative work with parents/caregivers is a critical part of your child’s treatment plan. Jennifer schedules regular meetings with parents/caregivers to help educate and support generalization of skills to home, allow consistent checks on treatment progress, and collaborate with you on your child’s treatment plan.
